Last week, SZA tweeted about releasing some unreleased songs on the 5th anniversary of her debut studio album “Ctrl“, and now she's following through. Ctrl was originally released on June 9, 2017.
SZA tweeted: "Everything made in 2014-2016 /17… not new lol to be absolutely clear. What isn’t on deluxe maybe on SoundCloud as well tomorrow? Deciding. Spring cleaning old thoughts." SZA said on another tweet: This is JUST a gift for camp ctrl . Nothing more nothing less . if u family you get it . 5 yrs is a long time . Thank you for changing my life I love you . Happy anniversary."
The new version of Ctrl comes with additional 7 tracks; the original version featured guest appearances from Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, James Fauntleroy, and Isaiah Rashad. The unreleased songs include the likes of “2AM,” “Tread Carefully,” “Awkward,” “Miles,” “Percolator,” and “Jodie.” You can check out the deluxe version - here.
