Three-time Oscar nominee Michelle Pfeiffer will star in and executive produce the “Yellowstone” spinoff series titled "The Madison." Additionally, Patrick J. Adams has joined the cast, with Deadline reporting that Adams (best known for playing Mike Ross on Suits) will star in the upcoming series from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. The Hollywood Reporter also revealed that Elle Chapman (A Man Called Otto) and Beau Garrett (Firefly Lane) have joined the cast of The Madison.
Paramount shared in a press release: "The series is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana." The Sheridan-created show was previously announced under the title 2024.
Pfeiffer will portray the mother of Paige McIntosh (Chapman) and Abigail (Garrett), "a resilient and sardonic New Yorker, who is a recently divorced mother of two," while Adams will play Russell McIntosh, the investment banker husband of Chapman's Paige, a "somewhat self-centered woman who indulges in a luxurious New York lifestyle" provided by her parents and husband.
Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO of Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios, said in a statement regarding Pfeiffer's casting: "Michelle Pfeiffer is a remarkable talent who imbues every role with emotional depth, authenticity and grace. She is the perfect anchor to the newest chapter of the Yellowstone universe, Madison, from the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan."
The Madison joins “Yellowstone” spinoffs “1883” and “1923”, with more spin-off series set in the 'Yellowstone' universe said to be in development.
