Riley Green has released the official music video for his latest single, “Think As You Drunk,” delivering a lighthearted visual that matches the song’s playful, barroom humor while continuing the rollout for his upcoming fourth studio album, That’s Just Me, due Sept. 18 through Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment.
Directed by Wes Edwards, the clip was filmed at Riley Green’s Duck Blind bar in Nashville and follows Green through an increasingly chaotic night fueled by too many drinks. The storyline features the singer stumbling from one misadventure to the next before ultimately taking the stage to perform, blending slapstick comedy with the easygoing personality that has become a hallmark of his music. The video also includes a cameo from Green’s corgi, Carl, and incorporates several scenes teased by the singer on social media ahead of its release.
Co-written by Green with Jessi Alexander, Erik Dylan and Wyatt McCubbin, “Think As You Drunk” also serves as a tribute to late country icon Toby Keith, one of Green’s longtime musical influences. Green has said the song was intentionally written in Keith’s spirit and even incorporates vocals from Keith’s 2005 hit “As Good As I Once Was” during the outro after receiving the blessing of Keith’s family and management. A portion of the song’s proceeds will benefit the Toby Keith Foundation, which supports children battling cancer and their families.
