Commemorating three decades in the music industry, country artist Trace Adkins has launched his first new single in five years, a patriotic track titled “American Made.” The song is characterized as “an uplifting anthem honoring the patriotism, ideals and contributions of generations of Americans,” and signifies a major return to the airwaves for the multi-platinum singer.
Adkins will introduce the track to a nationwide audience during the upcoming Independence Day festivities, when he is scheduled to deliver the exclusive national television debut of “American Made” on PBS's “A Capitol Fourth: 250th Weekend Celebration,” broadcasting live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on Friday, July 3, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. ET. The special broadcast coincides with the early events honoring the United States' upcoming 250th birthday.
The televised performance will feature backing by the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Jack Everly. Organizers have paired the grand finale of the event with a massive fireworks presentation launching over George Washington's Mount Vernon estate, which has been advertised as the largest pyrotechnic display ever hosted at the landmark property. Adkins noted his appreciation for the invitation, stating, “I have been fortunate enough to have played a small part in several of the A Capitol Fourth celebrations over my career,” while adding, “But to be invited to join the 250th birthday of our great country is an honor beyond all others.”
The July 3 holiday broadcast will be accessible via YouTube and on-demand streaming channels through mid-July. Adkins is currently supporting the new material on the road during his ongoing 30th Anniversary Tour.
