Brent Smith and Eric Bass with Shinedown perform live onstage at Rockstar Uproar Festival on September 25 2012 in Nampa, Idaho.

Shinedown have released new song “Killing Fields,” their third single of 2025 following “Dance, Kid, Dance” and “Three Six Five.”

The band posted on Instagram: "KILLING FIELDS. OUT NOW. Favorite lyric? Thoughts? Feelings? Emotions??? Leave a comment down below ⬇️"

Says frontman Brent Smith: “‘Killing Fields’ is not a song that has one specific meaning. The subject matter in this song cannot be prioritized to one specific opinion. The audience is the BOSS, and they should have the freedom to interpret it the way they hear it, feel it, and experience it. What I will say is that the song is meant to push you, to inspire you to think for yourself, and ask questions. We all know we are living in complicated times… The true question is, how will you respond.”

Shinedown kicked off the summer leg of their 2025 tour on July 19th at TD Garden in Boston featuring support from Bush and Morgan Wade, and will wrap up their run August 30th with a final gig at the FedExForum in Memphis
