Zara Larsson has announced her new album Midnight Sun, will drop September 26. The ten-track album is set to feature Zara's recent single “Pretty Ugly” as well as the title track “Midnight Sun."

The album features production from Margo XS, Zhone and songwriter Helena Gao. Larsson released lead single ‘Pretty Ugly’ back in April, alongside a music video directed by Charlotte Rutherford, and also dropped the video for her new single “Midnight Sun,” the title track of the Swedish pop star’s fourth album (also directed by Charlotte Rutherford). You can check the visual out: HERE.

Zara shared on both the album and the title track: “I really am proud of my Swedish pop heritage, so I wanted to write about a Swedish summer where the sun never goes down. I wanted the whole album to feel like it’s a summer night and it never ends. And it doesn’t matter if it’s December: the summer night will be there for you. It’s waiting for you, it will come back for you, and you will come back for it .. In thinking about this album, I thought, ‘What do I want to say? What do I want this to be?’ I really am proud of my Swedish pop heritage, so I wanted to write about a Swedish summer where the sun never goes down. I wanted the whole album to feel like it's a summer night and it never ends. And it doesn't matter if it's December: the summer night will be there for you. It's waiting for you, it will come back for you, and you will come back for it.”

Zara’s run of live shows in support of Midnight Sun officially kicked-off with her opening slot on Tate McRae’s Miss Possessive Tour across North America, which begins on August 4th in Vancouver, BC, with stops along the way at major arenas like New York’s Madison Square Garden before culminated with back-to-back shows at The Forum in Los Angeles on September 26-27, in line with the album’s release.
