LL Cool J to host Paramount+ docuseries ‘Hip Hop Was Born Here’

Paramount+ announced that LL Cool J will host a new music docuseries providing a deep dive into hip-hop.

Hip Hop Was Born Here, co-created by LL Cool J and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning, will explore the history of hip hop in New York City. The five-episode first season is set to premiere July 22 on Paramount+.

LL Cool J is slated to chat with fellow classic rap stars such as Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, Grandmaster Caz, Marley Marl, Rev Run, Roxanne Shante and Method Man, as well as newer artists, such as Crystal Caines and Lady London, among others.
