Tyla has teamed up with Sean Paul for the remix of her single “Push 2 Start.” Push 2 Start was originally released in October as one of three new tracks on the deluxe edition of Tyla’s self-titled debut album.
Tyla, 23, shared with Billboard of the remix: “Everyone loves Sean Paul, there’s so many songs of his that I absolutely loved growing up. All those songs are so nostalgic and special and vibey. I really wanted that feeling on the song. And he’s been speaking to me about wanting to do something, so I felt like this would be the perfect thing.” Paul added: “I really like her vibes as an artist. She does amapiano and mix her vibes with dancehall so it’s right in my pocket. Love it."
Tyla will receive the Impact award at Billboard‘s annual 'Women in Music' event, taking place Saturday, March 29, at YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, Calif.
