Showtime released the trailer for its new series The Agency, premiering Nov. 29 on Paramount+ with Showtime before airing on Showtime.
The Agency, based on the French series 'Le Bureau des Legendes', stars Michael Fassbender as a CIA agent Martian who abandoned his girlfriend (Jodie Turner-Smith) for a mission. Turner-Smith's character, Sami Zahir, is described as a social anthropology professor.
Per the official logline, the series follows “Martian (Fassbender), a covert CIA agent, ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites. His career, his real identity and his mission are pitted against his heart; hurling them both into a deadly game of international intrigue and espionage.”
The series also stars Jeffrey Wright, Richard Gere, Katherine Waterston, John Magaro, Alex Reznik, Andrew Brooke, Harriet Sansom Harris, India Fowler, Saura Lightfoot-Leon and Reza Brojerdi also star.
