The Weeknd has released his new song, “São Paulo” alongside the music video for the track, featuring Brazilian superstar Anitta. The Weeknd performed a sold-out performance in São Paulo, Brazil back in September, which was streamed on YouTube, and featured appearances from Anitta and Playboi Carti. Proceeds from the event's merchandise benefited the Brazilian Soul Fund of BrazilFoundation, supporting communities
The video for São Paulo, directed by the visionary FREEKA, dropped just in time for Halloween and features a pregnant Anitta who eventually reveals a face emerging within her belly.
The release of São Paulo comes on the heels of The Weeknd's chart-topping releases "Timeless" featuring Playboi Carti (produced by Pharrell Williams) and "Dancing in the Flames." Both tracks are set to appear on his upcoming album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, which will bring a close to The Weeknd’s After Hours and Dawn FM trilogy. No release date for Hurry Up Tomorrow has been announced as of press time.
