Peacock released a teaser for Season 2 of Based on a True Story, and has set a November 21 return date with all eight of the 30-minute episodes set to drop that day.
The series, starring and executive produced by Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina, follows real-estate agent Ava (Cuoco), and her husband Nathan, once a well-known tennis player (Messina), after they cross paths with a serial killer. The couple blackmails West Side Ripper Matt, played by Tom Bateman, into doing a podcast with them. Liliana Liberato plays Tory, Ava's sister, who winds up "entangled in a relationship with Matt" in the comedy thriller's new season. Melissa Fumero also joins the series for Season 2.
In Season 2, Ava and Nathan are navigating life with a three-month old baby, with an official synopsis reading: "Focused on taking care of her family, Ava is determined to resist her true crime obsession and return to work as a real estate agent while Nathan trains private tennis client. But a series of new murders pulls her back in -- is Matt behind the slayings?"
