Dream Theater have announced 2025 North American dates for their 40th anniversary tour. The trek, dubbed 'An Evening With Dream Theater', marks the first North American tour since drummer Mike Portnoy’s return to the lineup earlier this year. Portnoy joins vocalist James LaBrie, bassist John Myung, guitarist John Petrucci, and keyboardist Jordan Rudess.
The band shared in a press release: “The excitement we have felt from the fans since the first tour was announced has been overwhelming! Now we get to bring the show to our home country and play a bunch of cities that we haven’t been together in for more than a decade. We can’t wait to continue this historic celebration of 40 years together with everyone in North America next year. We still have plenty of more exciting Dream Theater news to share in the coming weeks.”
Dream Theater will launch their 40th anniversary tour with an initial leg of Fall 2024 UK/European dates that are set to kick off in October, followed by a short run of South American gigs in December. The 30-date, North American leg kicks off February 7th in Philadelphia, with stops in Nashville, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Boston, among others before wrapping up in the band’s hometown of New York City with a concert at Radio City Music Hall on March 22nd.
