‘Toby Keith: American Icon’ tribute concert to feature Jelly Roll, Carrie Underwood, and more

Late singer-songwriter Toby Keith will be honored at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on July 29 with a star-studded special “once-in-a-lifetime” event, Toby Keith: American Icon. Keith passed away after a battle with stomach cancer on Feb. 5 at the age of 62.

Per Billboard, fellow country artists Jelly Roll, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Ashley McBryde, Parker McCollum, Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson and The War and Treaty are among those who will gather for the concert special feting the life and legacy of Oklahoma-native Keith.

Tickets for the event are on sale via Ticketmaster, with a portion of sales will go toward The Toby Keith Foundation’s OK Kids Korral — a cost-free home for families of children dealing with critical illnesses — and Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Toby Keith: American Icon will also air as a two-hour special on NBC on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET/PT.
