Due to popular demand, Dead & Company have extended their Las Vegas Sphere residency by adding six shows this August. Per Billboard, the “Dead Forever – Live at Sphere” residency in Las Vegas expands with two weekends of back-to-back dates, bringing the total number of residency shows to 30. Dead & Company’s previously announced, 24-date residency began May 16 and was expected to run through July 13.
The new Dead & Company shows are set to take place Aug. 1-3 and Aug. 7-10. The “must-see” immersive experience celebrates the legacy of the Grateful Dead, combining their songbook with the Sphere’s technical spectacles. The band -- comprised of Grateful Dead founding member guitarist/singer Bob Weir and longtime drummer/percussionist Mickey Hart, as well as John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti and Oteil Burbridge — formed in 2015, and performs a unique setlist during each weekend’s shows at the 20,000-capacity state-of-the-art venue. Co-founder drummer Bill Kreutzmann was originally part of the band as well, but he exited in 2023, before the band kicked off what it called its “final tour” last summer.
