Keith Urban has dropped the second single for his upcoming 12th album, titled “Messed Up As Me”. The new track follows the upcoming album’s lead single “Straight Line." Along with Urban, “Messed Up As Me” was produced by his longtime collaborator Dan Huff, who has produced most of Urban’s music starting with 2002' Golden Road.
Urban said of the song: “Messed Up As Me” is about toxic relationships that aren’t easy to get out of. Most of us have been in dysfunctional relationships before, where there’s not a lot of compatibility, except for that one area where it’s so good you put up with all the rest. A phone call or a night out and you’re right back where you shouldn’t be.”
Urban’s last album, The Speed of Now Part 1, dropped 2020. The new album, expected to drop sometime later this year, is still unnamed. Urban said of the new LP that each song included “carries an energy and a life force that became a very strong through line. I hope you feel it. I’m so excited for everyone to hear the whole thing.”
