The 95th Academy Awards were held on Sunday, March 12, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel live from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
The film Everything Everywhere All at Once emerged as the evening's big winner, earning seven Oscars, including Best Picture. The film's seven Oscar wins were the most won by a Best Picture winner in 14 years (since Slumdog Millionaire won eight Academy Awards in 2008). The Best Actress award went to Michelle Yeoh, with Jamie Lee Curtis winning Best Supporting Actress, and Ke Huy Quan winning in the Best Supporting Actor category.
Other big winners of the evening were Brendan Fraser, claiming the Best Actor title for his performance in The Whale. The German war film All Quiet on the Western Front finished with four overall wins, with other highlights including Guillermo del Toro for his animated Pinocchio film, and M. M. Keeravani and Chandrabose's song "Naatu Naatu" from RRR.
