Olivia Rodrigo took to her Instagram Story to share a video of her and a collaborator working on new music together. On the second anniversary of the release of her breakout single "drivers license," the 19-year-old shared a clip of herself and music producer Dan Nigro rocking out to a snippet of a new track. Rodrigo captioned the post: "working on so many new songs I'm excited to show u! thank u for everything."
Olivia previously discussed working on her second album, telling Billboard in February 2022: "It’s definitely a different experience writing a second album after having a debut that was so well received. I still write so much of my music in my bedroom though, and I don’t think that experience will ever change. Writing songs will hopefully always be an outlet for me to process my feelings before anything else.”
Rodrigo released her debut album Sour in May 2021, featuring the smash hit singles "drivers license," Deja Vu," and "Good 4 U". Sour was the third most-streamed album on Spotify in 2022.
