After spending four weeks at No. 2, Steve Lacyâs âBad Habitâ has earned his first Hot 100 No. 1, knocking out Harry Styles' âAs It Wasâ from the top spot down to #2.
âBad Habitâ comes from Lacyâs sophomore album âGemini Rights,â his first top 10 album on the Billboard 200. âStaticâ from the same set currently holds a No. 78 peak, while his 2017 track âDark Red,â also rose 95-79 in its second week on the chart. According to Billboard, âBad Habitâ raked in 20.4 million streams and 40.3 million radio airplay audience impressions.
In an Instagram caption celebrating the occasion, the 24-year-old Lacy wrote: âdamn i ainât even have to change fr đđ we #1 babyyyyy," wrote Lacy in an Instagram post celebrating the achievement. "july 11th was my first entry at 100 and today oct 3rd my first entry at #1. wow oh wow. i feel heavy gratitude all over my body. u know how the story goessss and how itâs goin. iphone boy to superstar đ¤ˇđžââď¸."
Rounding out the top 5: Sam Smith and Kim Petrasâ âUnholyâ enters the singles chart at No. 3, while Post Maloneâs âI Like You (A Happier Song),â featuring Doja Cat, sits at No. 4; and Nicky Youre and Dazyâs âSunroofâ drops to No. 5.
