Snoop Dogg just appeared on the remix of Justin Bieber’s ‘Peaches’ along with Usher and Ludacris, and now Def Jam has announced that they have appointed Snoop as their Executive Creative and Strategic Consultant. Snoop will be working across the entire artistic roster with a focus on A&R and creative development, alongside UMG Chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge and Def Jam Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Harleston.
Grainge said about Snoop: “bringing his deep industry experience, strong relationships, boundless creativity and infectious energy to Def Jam” and Harleston commented on his experience and business mindset: “I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Snoop Dogg for more than twenty years. Not only does Snoop understand what it takes to be a successful artist, he is one of the most creative, strategic and entrepreneurial people I know. Snoop has a genuine passion for the label and the culture, and we are all excited to have Snoop join the Def Jam Family.”
