BTS have released a rare political statement, standing in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.
The K-pop boy band tweeted to their more than 26 million followers, "We stand against racial discrimination. We condemn violence. You, I and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together. #BlackLivesMatter." The tweet comes just days after K-pop fans banded together to fight against a "White Lives Matter" movement on social media, by using the hashtag with K-pop memes and other content to fight against racist, anti-BLM messaging.
