Country artist John Rich has donated the proceeds from his most recent song, Shut Up About Politics, to Folds of Honor to support U.S. veterans and their families.
Rich -- one-half of the superstar country duo Big & Rich -- announced his donation to the charity and says he's pleased with fans' response to Shut Up About Politics. According to a video clip posted to Fox News' website, Rich said, "It's become a real sensation." Shut Up About Politics peaked at No. 17 on Billboard's country chart and No. 91 on the all-genre chart. The song is available on all music platforms to buy or stream.
Major Dan Rooney founded Folds of Honor in 2007. After returning home from his second tour of duty in Iraq, Major Rooney discovered the hardships a family can face when a loved one who served has been disabled or has died. The charity organization is focused on providing educational scholarships to the families affected by such hardships.
