Eric Church’s Desperate Man has debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s country rankings, and is No. 5 on the Billboard 200 all-genres chart. This is Church’s third studio album to achieve this feat, the others being predecessors being Chief in 2011 and The Outsiders in 2014. Church had a resurgence in sales farther down the country chart as Chief returned at No. 25 and the EP, Mr. Misunderstood: On the Rocks, Live and (Mostly) Unplugged, rose back to No. 40.
