Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has confirmed that he finished recording his debut solo album. While appearing on Lzzy Hale of Halestorm's "Raise Your Horns" show on the We Are Hear podcast, Taylor shared that he had about 25 songs recorded for his solo effort.
Said Taylor: "All the songs are things that I've written over the years but they didn't really fit with either band. So it's stuff that I've just kind of been sitting on," he said. "And I've been kind of talking about doing a solo album anyway, and I was just, like, 'This is the perfect time to do it.'" Taylor said he worked with Stone Sour's Christian Martucci, guitarist Zach Throne (from his live band Corey Taylor and Friends), bassist Jason Christopher and drummer Dustin Schoenhofer on the project.
