Coming up this Sunday, Gladys Knight - Empress of Soul -- will go head to head with Patti LaBelle -- the Godmother of Soul -- in the latest edition of Verzuz. The legendary divas will take to the Verzuz instagram and Apple Music at 5PM PT/8PM ET on Sunday, September 13th to face-off. A tweet from Verzuz asks viewers to “get dressed up in ya Sunday’s best for this classic affair.”
Verzuz started as a response to the pandemic, and has been host to a wide array of collaborators (and nemeses) facing-off. This past Sunday’s reunion of Brandy and Monica was watched by a purported 1.2 million viewers worldwide; other match-ups have included Erykah Badu and Jill Scott, and Nelly and Ludacris.
