Outfielder Starling Marte has been traded from the Pittsburgh Pirates to Arizona. The Diamondbacks will send two prospects to Pittsburgh in return.
Marte is a former All-Star and two-time Gold Glove winner. He is coming off an exception year in which he hit .295 with 23 home runs and 82 RBIs. Marte is under contract for $11.5 million next season with a $12.5 million team option for 2021.
