Eddie Murphy’s ‘Dolemite Is My Name’ Debuts On Netflix

Eddie Murphy stars in "Dolemite is My Name" being billed as the start of Murphy's comeback.

Directed by Craig Brewer ("Hustle & Flow"), the movie stars Murphy as comedian/singer Rudy Ray Moore, whose hopes of achieving stardom haven't gone as planned, landing him as an assistant manager at a record store in the early 1970s.
