U.S. Networks Drop ‘Racist’ Trump Ads As Election Day Approaches

NBC, Fox News and Facebook all pulled ads by President Donald Trump’s campaign that critics had labeled racist; this coming the day before election day as a fight for control of the U.S. Congress will play out. The 30-second ad, sponsored by Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign, featured courtroom video of an illegal immigrant from Mexico convicted in the 2014 killings of two police officers, juxtaposed with scenes of migrants headed through Mexico.

The elections on this Tuesday are widely seen by both Republicans and Democrats as critical for the direction of the country. At stake is control of both chambers of Congress, as well as 36 governor’s offices.
