A musical depicting the life and career of the legendary Tina Turner will be opening on Broadway this fall. The show made its debut in London’s West End, and now will be coming to Broadway in the fall of 2019. Turner shared in a statement, "bringing this musical to life on stage and working with this team has meant so much to me, I feel that it is in many ways a culmination of my career." Tony Award nominee Adrienne Warren, who plays the titular part in the production’s London cast, is expected to reprise her role in the New York show, but official casting information has not been released. An exact date for the show’s opening has yet to be announced.
